Chelsea miss the services of Terry for six weeks due to back injury…..

Chelsea FC captain John Terry could be ruled out of action for six weeks after the Premiership champions confirmed that he had undergone surgery on the back injury that has sidelined him for the club's last four matches.

The England international defender, who has made over 200 league appearances for Chelsea, had the successful operation in France after consultations between the medical department at the London club and a leading neurosurgical specialist.

The news means that the 26-year-old will not only be ruled out of crucial league fixtures but could also be a doubt for Chelsea's UEFA Champions League last 16 first-leg meeting with FC Porto on 21 February. Terry's last appearance was on 13 December in a 1-0 victory against Newcastle United FC.
